A Baltimore County native, I entered the real estate industry in high school through summer internships. At that point in time, I did not know what I wanted to do, or what I was getting into. I started in the residential sector doing settlement transactions for sales in the Baltimore metropolitan region. Today, I still use the knowledge I gained in that summer internship, in my professional and personal lives.
I graduated from Washington College in 2004 with a degree in Sociology. Studying social systems, social behavior and theory was intriguing, but I later learned that the industry was not for me. In May, 2003, I studied abroad at Bond University in Queensland Australia, and studied marketing, communication, and I'd be lying if I didn't mention, the beach.
After graduation, I moved to Washington DC to pursue my career. It was only 35 miles down the road, but a new city with new opportunities, and the perfect playground for twenty somethings. I started at First Washington Realty, learning the ropes of retail property management. I started as an administrative assistant, and within a year was being given a few small properties to manage independently. Not too much later, I moved on the the Real Estate Development industry, and worked for Concord Eastridge. I was part of the development team for a project with the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I spent 4 years on the project, and I will never forget the experience and skills I learned, but in the spring of 2011, as I am planning my wedding in Baltimore, my priorities shifted and decided to move back to Baltimore, Maryland.
I accepted a position with Thornhill Properties, managing commercial and mixed use properties in Baltimore, where I still am working today.
I live in Towson with my husband, 16 month old daughter and pup named Cooper. We are avid Baltimore sports fans, and enjoy traveling.
